The man who set the building on fire in his restaurant has been arrested.
Houston Fire-Rescue Department Capt. Greg Hickey says 22-year-old Kevin McInerney was charged with arson and was being held on $20,000 bail.
The restaurant was engulfed in flames Thursday night.
Hickey says McInersons mother was at the restaurant when the fire started.
The restaurant is on the southwest side of the city, about a half mile from the intersection of Interstate 610 and I-45.
It is owned by McIneral’s mom.
Hinkley says the woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The building was engulfed with flames.
A firetruck is parked on the parking lot.
The Houston Fire Department says the restaurant was not equipped to handle a fire.
