It’s a very misleading statement, because the material can vary by brand.
Some ice cream makers make their cones from foam or cardboard, and those cones can be used for any kind.
If your cone is plastic, make sure it’s the same material as the one you’re using to make your ice cream.
It’s important to be very careful when using plastic because plastic can be contaminated with other chemicals.
For instance, plastic can contain plasticizers that can make your cone more difficult to clean.

In fact, a cone only makes one cone because it contains two layers of plastic: the top and bottom.

A cone that is 2.75 inches thick and contains 1.5 inches of plastic will make two large cones.
Another common misconception is that a cone “should be made from recycled plastic.”
The term “recycled” doesn’t refer to the material, but to the process of recycling.
In other words, it means that the plastic is recycled and then it’s used to make a product.
